Where the universe leads me I go, I feel extreme gratitude for the people that enter my life on a daily basis who allow me to continue to do what I love and to provide the opportunity learn from them. What a cool project it’s been to give this off grid cabin a real face lift. More images and footage of this stunning off grid cabin to come. With no water or power this job would seem daunting, but Josh and I enjoy a good challange. It was fun to get the boys involved.

Josh and I finish up this deck in Freeport, it totally changed the look of this house, we reframed the deck that was framed
Very light and shored up the posts, wrapped them and put down a prefinished on all sides cedar floor and rails. The homeowner had expressed a desire to have some decorative cornerbraces so we laminated a pair up from the offcuts. Mortised in 4 new hinges on the storm door that needed some love. After that was done we decided we couldnt leave the peeling paint on the fascia so we scrapped and gave all the trim on the front of the house a fresh coat of gloss so make it shine. We’re not done yet, we’re going to change the shutters to cedar as well, I think it will be spectacular! We would like to do more work like this and would be happy to build your dream, cedar is actually fairly comparable to a pt deck in terms of cost, and may be a good fit for your family.
