There’s always a moment in every project where it looks like everything is coming apart before it comes together.

The middle is where the real work happens. Walls come down. Layouts are tested. Decisions are proven in real time. Surprises are revealed (always!) It’s not polished, but it’s where the integrity of the project is built.

This is also where the right team matters most. Detail oriented. The cleanest job site you’ve ever seen, and city inspectors love him!

I’m incredibly fortunate to work alongside a GC who does not settle. Every detail is pushed, adjusted, and refined until it meets the level the design demands. That level of care is what allows us to take an idea on paper and deliver a finished space that actually lives the way it was intended.

The Tailored Clubhouse → Entry design solutions

Entry design is rarely given the attention it deserves, yet it is the first moment of arrival and the last moment before you leave.

In this home, we were working with a narrow wall adjacent to the front door. The challenge was clear. Create a shallow landing space that functions effortlessly without interrupting flow.

We designed a custom built-in at just 11 inches deep. It serves as a refined drop zone for keys and daily essentials, while the lower shelf creates a discreet place to tuck shoes when coming in from the gardens or welcoming guests.

This piece began long before installation. We developed a full specification document for the builder to estimate accurately, define the glazed oak espresso finish, and present a clear vision for client approval. What you will see in this post is not only the final result, but the process that made it possible.

Styling was intentional. We often incorporate a silver bowl or box near the entry to invite a sense of openness and positive energy into the home. Here, it sits alongside pieces from our client’s book collection, a touch of greenery, and a grounded vignette that anchors the alabaster and brass pendant above.

Everything has a place. And when it does, the home begins to feel complete.

Before → After | Aspen Creek Transformation | The Sculpted House | Broomfield, CO

This living room always had beautiful architecture — soaring ceilings and an elegant arched window — but the space wasn’t fully living up to its potential.

By simplifying the palette and rethinking the window treatments, we were able to let the architecture take center stage. Soft, tailored drapery panels now frame the arched window and extend the height of the room, while layered window shades provide privacy and light control without interrupting the view.

Updated furnishings and a calm, cohesive palette bring warmth and balance to the space, creating a living room that feels both elevated and comfortable for everyday life.

There’s an old saying in the world of professionally designed window treatments: you do it once, and you only cry once.

Custom drapery is an investment, but when it’s designed correctly — scaled to the architecture, fabricated beautifully, and installed properly — it becomes one of the elements that quietly elevates the entire room for years to come.

What was once a pass-through framed by decorative columns is now a fully integrated architectural moment.

By removing the columns and rethinking the structure of the room, we were able to create a built-in library wall that brings both purpose and calm to the space. Custom cabinetry now frames the windows, creating a reading nook anchored by tailored millwork, concealed storage, and open shelving.

A rolling ladder provides access to the upper shelves, while the upholstered bench invites you to settle in with a book and a cup of coffee. Creative Millwork accommodates HVAC while still giving access.

But the real magic of this space is hidden in plain sight.

Within the cabinetry are three concealed desk stations for the kids, giving them a place to do homework or use the computer while still being connected to the heart of the home. From the kitchen, Mom can cook, supervise, and stay part of the conversation — a small architectural move that supports everyday family life.

The result is a room that finally feels intentional — sculpted rather than simply furnished.

Breakfast Nook at Aspen Creek in Broomfield, CO

This corner of the kitchen had beautiful light — but nothing happening.

At , we transformed the bay window into a custom breakfast nook designed for the rhythm of everyday life — morning coffee, quick meals, homework, and conversations that linger.

Our skilled artisans integrated a custom vent detail directly into the base molding, allowing the HVAC system to function while preserving the tailored millwork.

We also added a piano hinge beneath the upholstered bench, creating hidden storage for holiday tableware and entertaining pieces.

Sometimes the most meaningful design moves aren’t the biggest ones.

They’re the spaces that quietly become part of everyday life.

Aspen Creek Broomfield Kitchen Remodel — The Sculpted House Before & After

Two islands. A decorative column doing absolutely nothing. And a kitchen that never quite worked.

When we first walked into this Aspen Creek home in Broomfield, the layout was fighting the architecture. Two islands competed for space, a non-structural column interrupted the room, and the finishes felt firmly rooted in another era. The kitchen had beautiful natural light and generous square footage, but the planning prevented it from feeling calm, open, or functional.

After

Our goal was to simplify the architecture and sculpt the space back to its potential. The unnecessary column was removed, the competing islands were replaced with one strong centerpiece island, and the kitchen was reorganized around a layout that finally makes sense.

Because this is a super active family of five who constantly host family and friends, the kitchen was designed to work harder. The new plan includes two sinks and two beverage stations, allowing multiple people to move through the space comfortably during busy mornings, homework afternoons, and large gatherings.

Warm wood cabinetry anchors the island while soft painted cabinetry surrounds the room, creating balance, warmth, and timeless appeal. The result is a kitchen that finally breathes — welcoming, organized, and designed to support the way this family lives every day.

The Sculpted House — Before → After Aspen Creek Dining Room

Great design often lives in contrast — a sculptural black metal chandelier paired with delicate French mesh drapery that filters the light like couture fabric.

This dining room began as a typical builder-grade space — beige walls, carpet, and a traditional chandelier.

The redesign introduced contrast, texture, and craftsmanship.
A dramatic starburst chandelier creates an unexpected focal point, while the custom herringbone wood inlay dining table anchors the room with warmth and movement.

The French mesh drapery softens the architecture, filtering light through the windows while adding an airy, couture-inspired texture.

The result is a dining room that feels modern, tailored, and quietly dramatic — yet still welcoming for everyday living.
