It started out with a single 2 color 3d printer I bought...to learn on... My great friend Mikey was hosting his first bodybuilding event... He and I already planned on making the trophies...my design, with his approval...originally I figured it'd be part 3d printing, part aircraft aluminum... And woodworking for the base... I 3D printed the first prototype...(not pictured)... He LOVED it...he loved the concept...so I was left to keep working on the design... I needed the trophy to feel... Heavy... So I designed the base as 2 piece, to fill with concrete for weight... Idk if you know about 3D printing, but things aren't just...substantial enough... This was my answer... Time was running out... Prints take quite some time.... I bought a few more printers, as did Mikey... Before you knew it, we had 9 3d printers running almost 24 hrs a day... 3 at my shop, 3 at the gym, and 3 at my house... We also bought a 40 watt CO2 laser to engrave the trophie's description plates... The show name, class, placement and ultimately the winning athlete's names, at the show. The Axes I modified. Mikey purchased them, I gutted, CAD designed and 3d printed the axe center pieces... They turned out beautifully, I think...I also designed and 3d printed a snap-on engraving plate holder for the handle... June 2021 was absolutely the craziest month for me both professionally, and personally. Turning out 60 plus trophies, custom axes and still keeping my regular customers happy was a huge task that came with many "costs".... Everything happens for a reason, they say.....oh, and keychains are available upon request...😉
