I tried using a jointer on my cutting board strips and it was a total fail. Then I took the remaining pieces to the disc/belt sander. In my haste, I used the disc sander and my thumb tip went flying along with the piece. I learned a valuable lesson: rushing and not respecting the tools can be costly. No more rushing for me!
