Great Lakes Stair and Case Co., Inc. We specialize in custom staircases of all types and configuration. We also specialize in casework and architectural millwork, bathrooms, and Inc.

We supply LJ Smith and Creative stair parts to offer a wide variety of newels, balusters and handrails. Great Lakes Stair and Case Co. was founded in 1987 by Howard Klotz and Jim Woodfin. Howard, a second generation woodworker, returned from Vietnam serving as a Navy CB and started is own shop, Klotz Woodworks. As Howard's apprentice, Jim learned from the best. After working for Howard for several

years, they became partners and opened Great Lakes Stair & Case Co. For over 25 years they have produced some of the highest quality wood products in Southwest Michigan. Together they have over 66 years of experience creating top quality custom wood products.
