The FBI Citizens Academy, which operates in all of the FBI field offices, is a nine-week program designed to afford business, religious, civic and community leaders with an inside look at the FBI. The
goals and objective of the FBI Citizens Academy are: to increase public awareness about the FBI, its mission, its activities, and its people; to provide an avenue for the FBI to hear and respond to community issues and concerns; and to strengthen relationships and improve understanding between the FBI and the communities it serves. All graduates of the CJIS Division/Clarksburg Resident Agency's FBI Citizens Academy are invited and encouraged to join the CJIS/Clarksburg - FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBICAAA). The FBICAAA is a private non-profit organization, associated with, but not part of the FBI. The goal of the FBICAAA is to promote a safer community through community service projects and by helping educate their community about law enforcement.
