My son needed a cabinet to replace his plastic drawer bin. I came across this rough looking , solid wood cabinet and saw the potential. Lo and behold, although I was thinking I would replace the hardware, after a good soak and cleaning they turned out perfect.

A good thorough sanding, and believe it or not..this is not paint...you read that right..its MinWax Color stai! Who knew!! It's not transparent but a solid color stain and to boot, water based so NO SMELL!!

Some times it's the very small touches that change everything. Like this beaded trim that I took 14 gauge wire and made hairpins to stake in dirt to hold in place on this pot. Bonus is, change when I want with very little effort. Some of the tricks I offer my clients

In the past week I have been using this product to weather raw wood to make it look like barn wood. These containers are quite handy. Inspiration comes from the smallest thing. This could be a wine cooler ..a utensil holder.... a planter ....a paint brush holder ...really you name it it could be used for so many things. Let's do more recycling and repurposing with the things that we have and less consumerism. What do you do to save the planet?
