A Day of Historical Recreation & Demonstrations of Martial and Artisan Skills from the Middle Ages. All are welcomed into the Great Barony of Dragon’s Laire!

Celebrate with us this year on June 21st, 2025 at the Kitsap Faire Grounds! Join your Kitsap County local Society of Creative Anachronisms members for a day of historical recreation and a journey through the wonders of the Middle Ages! Watch the most noble of fighters from all across the Known World as they display their valor on the war field or vie for the favor of the Crown and Court in the tou

rnaments. Learn about medieval crafts at our Artisan’s Village where blacksmiths, potters, scribes, and cooks demonstrate their skills. Take part in historical dances, song and merriment as bards and minstrels play their jaunty tunes from day long past! Indulge in the local food vendors or parade Merchants Row where crafts, clothing and treasures are plenty! Come and experience KITSAP MEDIEVAL FAIRE!

WELCOME!

If you are new to the area, interested in pre-17th century history, and/or perhaps seen one of the SCA's many public demos, we are excited to announce the Kitsap SCA Yearly Newcomers’ Night!

Intrigued but unsure? The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat and culture. The lives of participants are enriched as we gain knowledge of history through activities, demonstrations, and events.

Newcomers' night is an evening for you to explore the variety of guilds we offer, check out how to join one of our martial practices, ask questions about the SCA, or just hang out and absorb the medieval ambiance.

We hope to see you all there!

If you are unable to come that night, you are more than welcome to join us at our weekly Social event. We meet every Tuesday at 6:00 at the d VFW Post near Silverdale (9981 Central Valley Rd NE, Bremerton, WA 98311).

Travel Advisory – Road Construction Season!

Greetings Good Nobles travelling to the Dragon’s Laire from afar, tales of delayed travel have reached our ears. We send a missive that you might plan for more time and snacks to tide you over.

If you are coming from the Tacoma area, the west bound Narrows Bridge will be at 2 lanes starting Saturday at 4 AM through 4 PM Sunday. (Link to details from the DOT)

If you are traveling from the north end of the Olympic Peninsula, roundabout Construction at the junction of SR 104 and SR 19 continues, causing slows and delays. (link to DOT info). Also, the Hood Canal Bridge, is expected to close to traffic at 8:15 AM on Sunday June 16th. Delays could be up to an hour (link to the DOT bridge status site).

Road Closure and Access:

Fairgrounds Road will be closed Saturday on either side of Thunderbird Arena. There is NO Kitsap Medieval Faire Access from the West side of Thunderbird at Fairgrounds and Tibardis. All Modern Guests will be asked to drive around to Nels Nelson to enter the event.

Parking:

It’s free! But we do hope you carpool to help assist in lowering traffic.

There will be several parking options om the fairgrounds property, and designated Accessible Parking. We will have golf shuttles stopping at designated stops to transport anyone who needs assistance within the fairground property. Parking Opens at 9:30 am.

Tickets:

Wristbands are available at the designated tents between the Fairgrounds and Thunderbird Arena. Gate opens at 10am.
