While the focus of PSGS is local, many of our members are actively researching their roots from across the U. and other parts of the world, and we enjoy sharing our discoveries. Since most of our activities are focused on education and research, the Genealogy Center located at Sylvan Way Branch, 1301 Sylvan Way, Bremerton, provides the resources for our own research as well as assisting genealogists from other parts of the country.

Class: "Who Needed it Anyway? Getting Around the Missing 1890 Census" presented by Sara Cochran, Professional Genealogist.

The loss of the 1890 Federal census is a source of great frustration for American Genealogists, but all hope is not lost! Learn strategies and gather tips for success in locating your family in other records between the 1880 and 1900 Federal censuses.

Our May PSGS Program: The theme will be the Making of America over the last 250 years.
Come and share your ancestor story that can span any time in those 250 years and include all types of contributions that have been made by your ancestors. This is meant to be informal, so please don’t feel you have to have a “program” prepared.
