This is a driftwood coffee that I had refinished for a client. The finish was cracked and peeling with white paint drips and spatter all over. I spent about 30 hours stripping, steaming, and picking with dental tools to get all the old finish off. No sanding was done, I wanted to preserve the patina of the wood
7 coats of lacquer later we have this!

Here are some pics of a toy chest that I made for my friend's son.
The toy box is made from solid yellow pine using frame and panel construction. I used soft close lid supports so the little fingers don't get hurt by the lid slamming down. I used clear satin water-based polyacrylic for the finish and rubbed on a coat of furniture wax.
