Update: we can’t even Somedays with the rabbit holes 🕳️ we fall into but the good news is .. freedom ride loading… 💗

💔 Imagine losing everything overnight—and still waiting patiently for someone to come back.

Poseidon had no name and no history when we found him tied to our fence two weeks ago, tangled up and unable to move.

With no way of knowing if he was lost or abandoned we took him to Animal Control and started searching for answers.

Oh we did learn.

We learned his name, who his owner was (yea we know all the things). He lived with cats. He lived with other dogs. He had a home. Then he was left..

While his owner moved on, he is still sitting in Animal Control waiting for a second chance. We would love to pull him tomorrow, but we're completely out of room and need your help to make that happen.

💔 We said we were full. The universe sent our way a nursing mama and five newborn puppies anyway.

This afternoon, a mom dog and her five babies are arriving at PCBP after being given away for free.

The woman they were left with is battling terminal Stage 4 cancer. She doesn’t know much about the dog because her son just dropped her with her. She can’t care for a nursing family, but free isn’t the way to go.

So now they’re coming to us.

What do we know?
🐾 Mom appears to be house trained
🐾 Puppies are basically newborns
🐾 We don’t know how she is with other animals
🐾 We don’t even know her name yet
🐾 They need a foster home immediately

And here’s our reality…

We are FULL full full.

Every kennel is spoken for. Foster homes are stretched thin. But there was no way we could leave this little family behind.

Can you foster this mama and babies? We’ll help with supplies, support, and guidance. They just need a safe place to land.

Can’t foster? Please consider donating toward their care. Food, medical care, vaccines, deworming, and eventually spay/neuter costs add up quickly for a family of six.

Meet Layla! She's a five year old sweetheart whose life was turned upside down in February when her family had to surrender her due to military relocation. 💛

Through all the change and all the noise of shelter life, Layla has held onto her tender spirit. She’s timid at first, but give her a gentle voice and she begins to melt. She sits close and quietly asks for the comfort she’s been missing.

Layla loves people she knows and blossoms with those who take things slow. She takes treats gently, knows her commands, and has the sweetest way of resting her chin on your leg when she’s ready for more affection. She’s social with other dogs, enjoys calm company, and finds so much peace in simply being beside someone she trusts.

Life just changed — and now she’s hoping someone will give her a new beginning.
