This year posed a serious problem... how does one celebrate a birthday of the woman you love, who loves celebrating her birthday more than any other day, and celebrate Mother’s Day equally, to the best mama I know?
Go big!
Personal chef hired ✔️chef AMAZING!!! Hands down the best meal I have ever eaten; from the Endive 🥬 stuffed with homemade ricotta, toasted almonds, grapes seasoned perfectly - to the Mushroom 🍄 Ragout over Farinatta, to die for - thank god there were left overs - to the Panzanella salad with heirloom tomatoes 🍅, homemade buttery sourdough croutons, oh and some extra ricotta.
Oh goodness my mouth is watering.
We’re just getting started ...
Then a gazpacho SORBET (that’s right I said sorbet) served over sprouts and celery cucumber 🥒 medley.
The final dish was Swordfish grilled to perfection over a delicious freekeh & parsnip purée. It melted in your mouth.
And did I mention there was dessert... blueberry miso crumb cake with vanilla ice cream. It was so crazy delicious.
If you are ever in need of impressing your spouse or hosting a party for friends or colleagues, Chef Pablo is simply amazing. He introduced each entree as he presented it and then left us to enjoy. Timing each dish perfectly so there was time to savor each plate but also not over indulging. I still managed to do so.
I was inspired by my friend to set up a bohemian decor. Originally set up outside under a tent ⛺️ with lights, a fireplace, tons of pillows, low to the ground table that hooked up, tons of fresh plants 🌱🪴 and the sunset, which turned out getting destroyed minutes before the reveal due to bad 🌬⛈ ☔️
Luckily I was prepared with option 2 - inside. I brought it all indoors to create the same feel without the added elements.
I can only hope my love was equally as happy and had a great birthday - Mother’s Day dinner. Love you always.
