“This is our happy place”- I think that this sign perfectly captures the feelings that I, and so many of you, share for the sunny little slice of West Broadway that we’ve called home for the last ten(!!) years.
What an amazing journey it has been! These past ten years have been the best of my life! Besides seeing this little corner shop blossom from my humble furniture refurbishing studio to the Best of Boston gift shop you know today, my personal life has transformed these past ten years as well! I have gotten married, had three children and navigated through these times alongside of so many of you during these times! I have truly enjoyed getting to know each and every one of the wonderful customers and employees that this shop has brought my way, and you have all shaped me into who I am today.
I look forward- not back, from here and I am so excited for what is to come! Maintaining my brand has spurred so many new ideas for me of what is to come for Neatly Nested, and I cannot wait to share it with you. For those of you asking, this means our website will continue! I will be closing it for a couple of months to regroup after my move to the South Shore, and to refresh inventory, and then I look forward to bringing you the same brand experience you have come to love! I have other things planned as well, but a girl has to keep a bit of mystery, right?
While my heart is sad that the nest won’t continue to be a part of Southie, I am grateful to be able to keep this special place of my heart that has truly become a part of my identity. I feel indebted to you all and that inspires me to see where I can take this next.
