Doing some social media catch-up from last year. This was a custom build for a lovely home by my alma mater Tufts in Somerville. Custom white oak media cabinet and floating shelves to surround the existing TV, and a few steps away custom shaker cabinets for a tight laundry room. The laundry cabinets were designed with removable back panels for maintenance access to the laundry plumbing and dryer vent. Always good to try to make the next persons job a little easier.

Recently finished this custom bar cabinet in Beacon Hill. Designed to match the existing kitchen and topped with a marble offcut from the nearby fireplace surround. I spent way too much time nailing down the details on all of the drawer inserts, especially the custom shaped martini glass holders. But the result is alot of function packed into a 12” deep cabinet; the perfect spot to make a cocktail.

Back for some finished looks of these custom black walnut side tables with marble tops. The marble really makes the walnut grain pop.

Delivered a pair of custom walnut side tables today, made for a great repeat client. The design is a contemporary take on traditional Moroccan side tables, with a hexagonal frame and arched cutouts. The solid black walnut bases will be topped with marble circles cut from the same stone as the fireplace surround.

The result of a good day milling hardwoods: Sipo Mahogany and Black Walnut for some upcoming furniture projects. First time working with Sipo wood (aka Utile) for me; always interesting to see and smell new “exotic” woods and think about the tropical forests where they grew.

Slats for days! Final touchups on these slatted White Oak doors before sending them off to be pained black. These are for a custom floating media cabinet.

It has been a busy summer! Catching up on posting some of my recent work. This is a custom arch bench I designed for this bedroom in a beautiful historic home in Newton. I drew inspiration from the arched window which gives the room a warm pink glow. Solid cherry wood construction with bent glue-laminated legs.

Custom media cabinet built-in I finished up recently in a beautiful space in Beacon Hill.
Big cabinet for a small room that makes the room feel bigger. Thirteen foot ceilings made for some tall lifting. Lots of hidden functions and storage included: big 5-ft wide pull-out desk in the middle with a pull-out printer drawer on the side and in-drawer power for a full home office setup.
