I took and made a decision to have my fathers dresser completely redone to restore it to new including fixing the broken legs and drawers. This is from the 1910-30 time frame. It’s one of my most precious items from when my dad was alive. I lost him in 1976 a few months before my sweet 16th birthday. This is a very expensive process due to the damage that occurred over the years plus the glue it’s giving out on it too. I’ve enlisted Mike from Gilded Age to restore this for me in Joliet. I am so excited and yes I know I could get many dressers out a whole bedroom set for the cost of this but it is very special to me. My family thinks I’m crazy including my sister who agrees with my children it’s too expensive. I have no second doubts or worries on my decision. Will update with pictures as this process moves forward.
The only part that sucks is my car is broke down at the dealer with a trans issues hopefully it’s just the computer module again. This happened to me last year and almost the same spot where it broke down before. When it rains it sometimes pours. 🙏😱🤪😢😫🥺😳
