I am in need of both wet and dry cat food (and pine pellets) desperately. I thought I had some food coming, but now the person wants it back so I can't use it.

I go through about 50 pounds of dry a week (Sam's Land and Sea/Temptation mix) and 84 cans of Friskies pate and 48 cans of Fancy Feast. There is other things I feed too for kitties that are being fussy, need to take meds, need weight gain and some of that is on the list. (Amazon doesn't have land and sea, so I put some other decent options on the list.)

I tried to make a tractor supply wish list so I might be able to go pick it up rather than wait for delivery, but can only share the list via email to people for some reason. I wish I could share that list because that's the place I buy my pellets, shavings, flea and tick control, etc..

Anyway - if anyone could send dry and wet food off of this list asap, I surely would appreciate it.

People are messaging me about taking in cats...and for some reason, Facebook will not let me message one of them back. No, I'm not taking on anymore at the moment.

I understand you are frustrated because you cat is having expression/anxiety issues. If you have tried everything, hopefully you will consider creating a safe outdoor space for your cat with cat proof fencing and a climate controlled house, even if it is a heated cat house and under the shade of a tree. Check out my Catbin in the Country that I just posted a picture of. The cat on one of the shelves in there has terrible anxiety and refuses to go the bathroom outside even with doors wide open and refuses to use either of the litter boxes inside the Catbin in the Country. He lives out there happily with some friends.

I thoroughly clean up his mess every time he makes one out there (but since I rearranged it the other day, he's actually been (knock on wood) very good.) I know that what your kitty has resorted to doing has become a major inconvenience to you, but eventually, cleaning up after them just becomes part of a daily routine, just like cleaning up after your own children daily.

Hopefully, you can create a solution like that for your girl because everyone is slam full at the moment.

Here's one my neighbor has in her backyard...she added an insulated, heated cat house, and they love it.

110”W x 75”D x 74”H multi-level home suits . Features with safe spacing (prevents escapes) and . Multiple tiers with for climbing/resting. Includes for easy cleaning and (move freely or secure in place). protects from rain/sun + (large & small) with reinforce...

I spent 6 hours cleaning and reorganizing The Catbin in the Country the other day to make it more appealing and a more sanitary situation for kitties. Sebastian, sadly, has terrible anxiety at times and had ruined pretty much everything in there so it all needed to be thrown out. I thought it was Martini, but turns out, it's definitely Sebastian.

So far, he's being good...he seems a lot more relaxed and happier (at least until this neighborhood goes crazy at the 4th with their cannonball shoots and massive fireworks.) I usually bring everyone in my house but last night, I heard some very early celebrations starting already for America's 250th anniversary.

At least the loft is lined with protection now and I hope to get the floor and walls done in vinyl as well.

For the record, in regards to Purrfection Rescue It's not being sold to developers. There's a lot to this that is not being disclosed.

It's a huge undertaking with the county and DHEC and everything else. It takes a lot of money to get something like this started and it takes a lot of money to sustain something like this. It can't just be done with volunteers coming and helping clean or sending a bag of food. It's going to take hundreds of thousands of dollars to get this off the ground along with going through the proper protocols between the State and the county. Time is of the essence in regards to my own personal situation that all began when the mill closed and I lost my primary source of income.

I was under the impression that huge fundraising could be obtained in a short amount of time to pay for the land ( .75 acres) that was already scheduled to be subdivided and talks were already in the works with two interested friends of mine before I even met Bri One wants to put an Airbnb there, the other wants to build a mansion there and live there. Anyway, at this point I am going to stop Purrfection rescue from going next door and I'm just going to stay by myself here, turn into an actual 501c3 vs trying to be self funded. It was my misunderstanding of the fundraising and what would happen there. Bri had some great ideas...and she tried hard.

The land over there. I don't know what I'll do with it. Maybe I'll build a dog kennel and board dogs.

At this point it's up in the air. I do know one thing. I need income coming in or I can't survive here myself. My own place takes $6000 to $8,000 a month just to run properly between utility costs, maintenance of the buildings and proper care of the cats. That does not include the payment of the mortgage which is $2500. That is the reality of it all. Similar rescues have deep pocket donors as well as paid staff that run the place ... and even then, there can be issues.

My time is very restricted as I scramble to make money to keep (what I already built) going... and this is a private residence as well. Ultimately, it was my schedule that caused this to come to a point of both of us separating but... honestly, the more I dig into the costs, the fees, the possibility of fines ( huge ones per violation if ever occured), the routine government inspections, the regulations, the liability if anyone ever got hurt on the property, the scrutiny by the State on top of the County...I was already having my doubts of its success based on feedback I was getting from similar rescues and the issues they faced with public opens, State DHEC regulations, let alone county.

So sadly it's not going to happen on this extra land.

I am still here, I am not a greedy piece of sh*t...neither is Bri.

I will do my best to keep going.

This is an amazing Sanctuary...please consider donating. I used to pull cats that were about to be pts from GCAC and drive them 5 hours to here to save them. I think of Siglinda often. I pray she is well.
