About the Collection

If you were to ask me what inspired me when creating Al-Harry Furniture Design, I would say three things:

1. I am fascinated with the history of how people lived, built and furnished their homes.

2. I don’t think there is a color I dislike, but my favorites are the historical colors. I chose the Charleston and Mount Vernon Collection for my pieces.

3. I live in one of th

e prettiest places in our country, so I am inspired everyday by the ocean, sand, marsh, and beautiful flowers.In our collection we feature original designs I have created, and I commission local carpenters to build. Special pieces are built by my husband Joe, and my father Harry. We also paint raw furnishings and vintage pieces and give new life and character to each one. Every piece is created with intricate carvings and is hand-painted with passion and attention to detail. Like people, our pieces have a name, a style, and a story all their own to share. They are “One of Kind” pieces of art! About the Finishes

The finishes in our collection are uniquely hand-painted. They are layered and blended together with shades of history to give character and charm. Each piece is adorned with exquisite molding and carvings, giving it a reflection of history with a modern flare. We lightly or heavily distress our pieces giving that look of days gone by. All of our furniture is finished with a protective topcoat. Our collection also features a line of whimsically hand-painted pieces that will brighten any room. Customizable

From filling a space in your home with the perfect piece based on your size and color needs, to re-designing an heirloom you already have, Al-Harry’s can give you exactly what you’re dreaming of, even if you don’t see it in our Finishes or Collection currently.
