Treasured Mid-19c staved Shaker bucket in original green paint with bail handle and wonderful hand-carved wooden plug. Shakers were excellent carpenters and extremely innovative. The proportioning of this liquid storage vessel was never going to allow the bucket to tip over. These buckets were utilitarian and could be used for storing a variety of products from communal wine to kerosene. This bucket retains its Shaker characteristic diamond-shaped handle fastener. Bottom metal band is missing. 10” tall with handle down. 12 1/2” dia. base. $255 plus shipping. More photos available.
