🚨 Emergency Alert Notification Sign-Up Information 🚨

We’ve received several questions about how to sign up for emergency alert notifications — thank you for wanting to stay informed!

The attached flyer includes the signup link and contact information if you need assistance getting started.

This system, used by both the City of Blair and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, is free to sign up. Weather alerts are provided directly from the National Weather Service.

Here’s how to get set up:
1️⃣ Visit the “Emergency Alert Notifications” page on the City’s website (link below).
2️⃣ Choose how you want to receive alerts — email, text message, and/or phone call — and select your alert area (Arlington, Blair, Fort Calhoun, Herman, Kennard, or Washington).
3️⃣ Enter your address so you get alerts relevant to your location (even if you’re out of town).
4️⃣ Optionally, download the myAlerts mobile app for real-time alerts based on your current location.
