Had an awesome time in Amarillo at the season opener for the World Championship Blacksmiths 20th season! I am already looking forward to the next one in Edgewood,NM. It is truly one of the best things I’ve done for my own personal growth as well as career development.
The WCB truly embodies “education through competition” there’s not a better way to grow and learn than to lay dow your work for your peers and people further along the journey than you to critique and give advice. It’s a unique group of hardworking individuals that only want to see the bar be raised and the farrier trade be the best it can be by promoting good horseshoeing and high standards.
Thank you to everyone who struck for me and helped me this weekend, the community the WCB has created is like no other, everyone is there to help and support each other and everyone is very welcoming. If you’ve been on the fence about competing I truly think it’s the best thing you can do for your own improvement!
