My criteria for accepting commission jobs includes two things – it shouldn’t be a family heirloom, and the customer can’t be in a hurry… Well, with this job, I made an exception to the family heirloom - this secretary had been in previous family member’s homes for as long as my customer could remember - she just wanted it to have a fresh look and was open to ideas… She wasn’t in a hurry, which was good because they dropped it off January 1 and I just delivered it today! In my defense, I had knee surgery during that period which set me back a bit in my efforts, and this job had so many moving parts and was so challenging. What a learning experience it was, but she loves the results, as do I! ❤️❤️
