These well-loved footstools were acquired separately, but were remarkably similar! So I decided to give them the same look – Dixie Bell Chalk mineral paint in a mix of Holy Guacamole and Gravel Road, Clear Coat Satin topcoat, gold marker, new cushions, new batting and new fabric have made these 2 foot stools a charming pair! They will be available for purchase tomorrow at Home Revival at Your Needful Things!

This project was a little out of my comfort zone - I kept seeing inspiration in old world finish techniques, but was afraid to try it. Until I saw one beautiful chest of drawers done by a wonderful artist, even listing the colors she used. I decided to tackle it with this old Victorian Parlor table. No less than seven colors were used in this process, and lots of dry brushing…gold and bronze gilding waxes, and some stenciling highlight the piece perfectly. I’m so proud and happy about my first attempt with this technique! This will be heading to my booth at Home Revival at Your Needful Things tomorrow!

This antique pedestal table was a diamond in the rough. It had the base connected to the table top with an ugly block, and it had become very unstable, which someone tried to correct with a huge glob of glue around the post. I dissembled it, found a wooden lamp base to convert into the connecting piece. The top was sanded, stained and sealed, the brass feet were cleaned up and refurbished, the table was reassembled, the base was painted and highlighted with copper gilding wax. this was an enjoyable project that definitely stretched my brain power 😉 it’s headed to my booth at Home Revival at Your Needful Things today!
