Started on this jewelry armoire this week I know it looks a little crazy but don’t judge me yet and please don’t mind my mess. 🤣 I had to choose whether to clean up the mess or start painting, and painting came out on top hehe.

After 13 years of nursing and 19 years of raising my kids, I have discovered a new God given talent within myself...painting furniture. Before I go on, let me clarify...when I was working as a nurse I believed I was where God wanted me, and I loved nursing. When my kids came along, all I wanted to do was raise them and love them every step of the way, and I am so thankful for a good, hard working husband that supported my longing to be home with my kids. For the past 14 years he has worked so hard to keep me home, and has blessed me and the kids with his support and love. During my time home, I prayed continuously for something new, something I would want to do for the rest of my life and when He led me to a piece of furniture and a paint brush...I was shocked. I had never painted anything in my life!! This couldn’t be right!! But fact is, a burning desire to paint had overtaken my thoughts and I had to do it. So, I painted a table...and wow!! it was ugly when I finished...I was like God this can’t be right. But I could not shake the desire to paint something beautiful. Anyway long story short...I took some classes, read umpteen million blogs, watched even more videos and practiced. So here I am, almost 3 years later...painting furniture, teaching others how to paint, and just maybe inspiring others to take a chance on whatever is tugging on their hearts. Painting is my therapy, my happy place, and I am so enjoying the journey. Thank you God for answered prayers!
