I’m excited to vend at the Episcopal Diocese of Easton Convention this weekend in Ocean City, MD. I will have a display of my ecclesiastical work as well as a couple furniture pieces. This is the top adornment on the bishops chair at one of our local churches. The entire piece was attached with a dowel which snapped off. There were also some missing bits due to falling on the hard floor. I am in the process of patching it up with new oak and will stain and finish it to match. The adornment will have to be reattached using a shop made jig to drill the new dowel hole in the chair top accurately. Drilling the hole in the bottom of the adornment will require another jig entirely. Sometimes my work is on large drawn out projects but then other times it is on something insanely small and detailed. Make no mistake, this repair is taking several hours to complete properly. But it’s a good feeling to have such a variance of things to spend my time on. Will post an update when the repair is complete and installed. I am also working on a couple other small repairs for the same church. More to come!

Heading out today! A pair of collar boxes in walnut, rosewood, and mahogany! They feature a hand carved finger labyrinth and Canterbury cross, textured mahogany, and fine Brusso stop hinges that stop the lid at 105°. The center compartment is for round collars and the ones on either side are for tab collars and collar buttons. There’s even a mirror in the lid!
