Sometimes when it’s done it ends up better than I had envisioned it…this toy chest is one such project!🤗

Greetings!!!🤗 I have successfully wrestled away my page from Krista!!!🙄

A customer had an oak beam from a barn and an idea from something they had seen in a restaurant.🤔

I had the honor to turn the oak into a coffee table!😊 They ordered the legs and I did the rest!!!😉

Problem is….😔…it disappeared from my shop and DEFINITELY will not be found in my soon to be remodeled living room in front of Krista’s fireplace!!!!!😬

Back at the end of June I posted about having the honor of creating pieces out of a black walnut tree harvested from a family farm.🤔

It’s been done since the beginning of September however the customer passed away unexpectedly and I’ve been guarding it until they were ready for delivery.😢

Today I delivered so I thought I’d share what was created. A solid black walnut television stand with an electric fireplace insert as well as matching end tables.🤗

Thanks Ann…🙏…you have no idea how happy this project made this ol’ cabinetmaker! It was truly an honor to be a part in creating this heirloom from such beautiful wood!!!😊

I love, LOVE “rescuing” pieces!!!🤗 This came from a garage/barn and I imagine was designed and built out of necessity using material on hand, therefore it’s a one-of-a-kind! Cleaned it up, strategically repaired what needed to be repaired and crafted a tin top to give it a little bit more character!😉 (As if it needed that!!!🙄😬)

I could see this in a front hallway/foyer with a decorative bowl for keys and change, drawers stuffed with hats and mittens…🤔😊 Or just as a “decorative pop-piece” in a living room or kitchen…it’s just way cool!!!!😎

Dimensions are 35 1/2” tall, 27 1/4” wide, and just over 21” deep.
