I have been through enough economic downturns, recessions, blips to know you & I will be around after COVID-19 is not a thing.
If you're working, good on you: stay safe, 6 feet away and I'll be seeing you in the future.
If you're on forced break like me, try to remember what day of the week it is. Keep a calendar around to track date.
Myself? I'm taking time to take care of little things I've put off.
1) I do stretching morning AND night(before bed).
2) Fixing all the broken little things, (k***s, switches, knicks, dents, scratches in/on things).
3) Getting the garden in GREAT shape. Normally, it's a garden. This year, it's GROCERIES so MUCH bigger/better.
4) Washing stuff that normally doesn't: like the front and back door. (*They're white and light colors show grime/dust).
5) Moving furniture, re-arranging stuff. Idle hands ARE the work of the energetic.
6) MAJOR repairs: Already did the Garage wall, roof, house roof decking, front sidewalk, demo of 2nd floor deck.
7) Upgrade of water collection system to STORE water until almost full and then dump SOME to prevent overflow. Right now, it directs water to where it's going only bypassing our house on it's travel. Essentially, a highway for water.
8) CLEAN the kitchen: Stove, Hood, Oven, Floor, sink, kitchen window and replace heat diffuser over toaster.
9) Upgrade/Update systems: All workstations are up to date for AVirus, kernel and user programs.
10) NO LONG RANGE PLANNING until this virus pandemic is over.
The Universe dictated I, you, we take a break from our routine to re-assess, reboot and re-align. I'm actually finding time to be Zen on the rooftop, taking in all around me. This view has been there all the time: I haven't appreciated it for a long time and the "idle time"(HA!) has me re-connected. I hope you will too.
