I can post this now that Valentines Day is over. I saw the picture frame with the dog and thought that would make a good gift for my wife but it needed a little extra. So I designed the frame with the hands and cut out a piece of plastic, inserted a picture of me and Evelyn our new grandbaby!
We are starting a new Makers/ Crafters Group in Saline County, Arkansas that meets this Saturday for the first time. If you are interested in attending message me and I will send you the details. All crafter maker people are invited regardless of your talents and interest.

Prepare yourself for a barrage of Evelyn focused signs and doodads in the future! For those who haven't heard we have a granddaughter, yeah you guessed it EVELYN. I've made this sign about 5 months ago and realized that I hadn't posted it yet when I was going to show it to a friend of mine.
We call her our little wildflower and this design popped in my head. I was inspired by the Tom Petty song Wildflowers. I was going to use a lot of flowers and paint them all different colors , then decided simple would probably look better with one type of flower all the same color. I really like the font and wanted to include the lyrics. The wood came from a tree that was cut down in my parents, her grandparents , yard.
We love her a lot and cant wait until I can make things she can actually play with , paint , or make with me.

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but due to life changes I dont get out in the shop as much as I used to. However I did get a chance to make these 2 chairs in the Adirondack style but much easier to get out of, which is important to me the older I (and my friends) get. What do you think? Do you like them? I tried 2 different finishes on them, one is Spar Urethane and the other is Teak oil trying to decide which holds up the best. We will see.

We are developing a bird/bee friendly garden and my wife requested a birdhouse. Well I can’t just make an A frame plain birdhouse. So I made a Hobbit hole house for our little friends to shire/share!

Our daughter Tyler Fugere invited us to go with her to Glascow Scotland as she presented at a medical conference. We visited castles, checked out some beautiful murals, and traveled to the highlands to visit the railroad bridge from Harry Potter. We throughly enjoyed the trip and appreciate her inviting us to accompany her.

If you’re looking for something for Valentine’s Day may I recommend you visit 501 Faire on Market Street in Benton. They have gifts for men and women and are getting new merchandise in all the time. Where do they put all the new product? On the tabletop I made them of course. They had a metal base and asked me to make a 7 foot x4 foot top for it. She didn’t want the endgrain showing,so I made breadboard ends held in place with dowels. Visit 501 Faire and check out their gifts and comment on what a nice table display they have.

When I came in from the shop my wife asked me if I was done. Actually I was! I made this sign for some people at church and I was Dunn!!
If you’d like a sign made for you or for a gift, send me a message. These folks gave me a large cedar tree , but I also take cash. I added another picture showing the texture. It didn’t come through the first post.

This makes my day!! A friend asked me to make some step stools for her grandchildren with their names on them. She sent me this picture after giving them for Christmas. Look how happy they are!! Not as happy as me!!

My daughter Tyler wanted to make a table for her bathroom sink. I told her that I had some curly maple that I cut from her grandparents yard years ago and it’s probably ready for a heirloom table. I love it when my daughters want to work with me in the shop. The table has a shelf which was installed after the plumbing was done.
