If I had a dollar for everytime someone said “ let’s just paint it” thinking it would save time or money….💸

Paint or tinted lacquer finishes do NOTHING to cover up or hide anything.
In fact it enhances every little imperfection, poorly sanded area, pinhole ect.

A proper paint job is so much more labor intensive than a natural finish.

The masking the caulking, the puttying, the priming , sealing, 1st coat, sand, spot putty, sand, 2nd coat, sand, spot putty, more sanding …… on and on until the finish is right.

Done properly a painted finish will look really nice, but don’t ever make the mistake of thinking that it will save you time ,money or that it’s somehow the easy option when budgeting for your project .
