Those meter inserts took me forever to get made haha. I still enjoyed this restoration and it was fun to make custom parts though!
The client paid around $1300 for this work.

This is a long video where I restore a Technics SA 700 receiver that was sent to me all the way from Australia. It turned out to have some water damage and tons of corroded parts had to be replaced. I also replaced every other electrolytic capacitor and a couple of dozen transistors as well as fixed some damage caused by shipping. The repair cost the client around $2000 USD which was worth it because of sentimental attachment.

It's rare that I buy things from thrift stores anymore but there was so much good stuff today, I couldn't resist!

This receiver was down bad with major distortion in the right channel. I replaced nearly every cap in the unit and a lot of known problem transistors along with the lights and speaker terminals. The repairs were around $1300 for the client and I spent around 20 hours working on this not including lots of time spent researching.

This was made in the USA in the mid 70's! Lots of carbon comp resistors to replace and a few broken controls to fix. The client paid around $1000 to have this restored. If you want me to fix your gear, head to the repair form link on my page.

The front end of this amp is such a pain to work on. I'm glad I ended up not having any issues after rebuilding it. Really stoked on how this turned out overrall and so is the client. Kenwood did a great job building this amp. It's a tank and the controls are high quality. The channel balance on the volume and balance controls is near perfect. The rebuild cost the client around $1200. You can find my repair info at the link on my page.

The 6060 is part of one of my favorite series of receivers from the 70's. The 5050, 6060, 7070, 8080, and 9090. Built pretty well and they look amazing! People generally like them for the warm sound they produce. I replaced around 80 parts on this unit and it cost the client around $900 with parts and labor. If you want yours repaired, head to the repair form linked in my page's bio.

Really clean 2245 with no prior work done on it. I hadn't worked on one before so I spent 6 hours reading the service manual, forums online, recommended mods, etc. client paid for 13 hours of my time on the rebuild, R&D not included. Came to around $1200 with parts and labor.
