The Bentley Dresser

Made in the Pacific Northwest in the early 1900's. This antique Dresser has been carefully and lovingly restored to highlight it's craftsmanship and trim detail. Hand painted in classic grey hues, layered to give the dresser depth and interest. Beautiful refinished top to show the solid wood. Sealed with several layers of Polyurethane for lasting protection. It has 5 drawers for roomy storage. Classic high end drawer pulls makes this piece stand out!

This project was so much fun. It is rewarding to see the potential in a piece, and see it surpass expectations!

Dresser is a "Built By John 1891", a collector's favorite, especially in the Pacific Northwest where it was made.

Burns Paul John was born born 1875 in Germany. He was a furniture apprentice and started building furniture in 1891at the age 16. The pieces are Art Deco Design, with their cool smooth surfaces and gorgeous woodwork. These pieces add elegance and a rich sense of history to any room.

Dresser is painted with General Finishes brand in "Driftwood Gray". The top and drawer fronts were stained in "Antique Walnut". Several coats of satin sealer will protect this piece for the next 100 years!

A good life lesson - my last piece didn't sell. I liked it, but somehow didn't love it. In each case, as my furniture leaves me and goes to its forever home, I have the "She's ready to go and I would not do anything differently" feeling. But not this time. It was the holidays so I tried to rush and she didn't sell.
Well life is funny. I broke my ankle New Years Eve. And no, not doing anything fun or exciting 😊 but moving furniture with a friend. (I'm not an athlete and have never broken a bone before) IT HURTS! Lots of down time to whine and ponder life... and to think of my table.
So when my foot was better, I came up with this! AND NOW SHE IS READY!!!

Custom blend of layered grey paint inspired by Restoration Hardware which is a weathered European look, classic antique style lots of lovely linen and simple upholstery.
(Includes 2 extension leaves to go from a cozy dinner for four to special occasions)

Tiny Tim Table and Chairs.

In the spirit of Christmas: Tiny Tim dining table and chairs.
1930s table and refinished chairs. The chairs are finished with a creamy white with light highlighting in brown to bring out the character details. They have been reupholstered with Robert Allen linen in "natural." Heavy enough for everyday wear. It has also been treated with Scotchguard for extra protection. The gorgeous turned legs have the same creamy color as the chairs. Multiple coats of General Finishes top coat for lasting beauty, durability and sheen.

The Sara Desk is an antique desk, beautifully restored with a unique finish. It still had the original hardware! I have hand painted the desk using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in a custom Old White and Old Ochre. It has then been detailed with a wash of Annie Sloan Linen, a cool neutral inspired by the colour of aged natural linen, on the body. Sealed with a clear wax, then detailed using a gold gilding wax to bring out all the amazing details of this unique desk. It also has a hand made Italian Key Tassel in cream and gold which matches the desk perfectly! AND no desk is completed without an amazing comfortable chair hand painted with Annie Sloan paint and upholstered with a dreamy linen fabric. ( Triple sealed with Scotchguard- ladies I have your back:)
