Sundays with Miss Monnie & Miss Midge!!💕🐾💕🐾 Miss Monnie had surgery this week to remove two lumps (tumors) on each side of her rib cage😞 We're waiting on a report about what they are, we know there is cancer cells, but not much else. We were hoping these were just fatty tumors, but they grew so quickly... the good news is, she is healthy & these tumors hadn't caused her any pain... though she's had a rough week post surgery!😞🐾 She's not happy that she can't get on the sofa or the bed!😞🐾 Miss Midge has been very sweet & concerned, laying beside her & checking on her when she was in her kennel!🐾💕🐾💕

Meanwhile, thank you to Miss Kathy, who joined me Friday to make a beautiful Paper Wreath using Vintage Sheet music!! She won a Workshop while on The Flying Pig Thrifting & Shopping Fall Color Bus Tour!!👏

Yesterday was The Bellaire Witch Project 🧹🧙‍♂️!🎃 Such fun!!!🧡 Thank you to everyone who showed up, dressed up, had fun & shopped!! Thank you to Miss Gabby at Yoga North for taking the time to organize & lead us in a super fun Witchy Line Dance! 👏👯‍♀️🎃 We are already planning more fun things for this event in 2027!!🧹🧙‍♂️🧡🎃

Tipsey Tuesday's Tip!!😉🖌🎨 Today's Tipsey Tuesday Tip is about how important prep is, how easy it is, how it really doesn't take that long & why it's worth the effort!!!😉 🖌🎨😍
First off, clean your piece of furniture & vacuum all crevices, use a degreaser, or soap & water with a bit of vinegar. Let dry.
Secondly, scuff sand... sand all surfaces with 100 or 150 grit sandpaper. Dust off with a microfiber towel or tack cloth.
Thirdly, glue, fix, repair & woodfill. Sand smooth any woodfill. Dust with a microfiber towel or tack cloth.
Lastly, start painting with Chalk Paint!! You'll probably need two coats!🖌🎨
This Vintage dresser needed to be sanded on the top all the way to the wood grain as it was very scratched. This only took about 15 minutes or less. The angeled edge of the dresser top needed to be done by hand, took another 15 minutes.(I did this extra sanding because I might stain the top of the dresser, still deciding!!🤔) Scuff sanding the drawer fronts & sides of the dresser took 10 minutes. Dusting, vacuuming, repairs & woodfill took 15 minutes. Sanding woodfill smooth & dusting took 5 minutes. Total time of prep: 1 hour. Why it's worth it: the paint will adhere better, the finish will be smooth & your finished project will look fabulously professional, updated & beautiful when finished!!😉😍🖌🎨 Need help with your next furniture painting project??
