THE MOST ASKED QUESTION we receive is "how long should my table be?" and for good reason. You don't want to order a custom table only to find out that your sweet granny can't fit at Christmas time and has to eat on a plastic folding table. Can you imagine!?

The good thing is that the answer is simple...for the most part. Essentially, your table length should equal the number of people you want to seat.

So, if you want to seat 6 people, then your table should at least be around 6 feet long. Even if you spent most of your time in 9th-grade math daydreaming, that equation is a pretty easy one.

Things can get a little more complicated though when we also consider things like table width, room size, and leafs. But, you still don't need to worry. We're here to make all that decision making easy.

Hold the phone, you can fit two chairs on the end of a table? You darn skippy! TELL ME MORE.

Traditionally, a dining room table is somewhere around 36 inches wide. This is great for just having guests gather with their plates. However, if you want to serve buffet style right from the table AND fit an extra chair on the ends, you can consider breaking outside the norm.

At Siroh & Ivy, we can customize your table by making it wider. If you have the space to make your table at least 48 inches wide, you can skip the leaf and just add extra chairs on to the ends of your table.

Bottoms up! When setting a table, we obviously understand that the table and all of the decor are important, but you can't forget about the good food and drinks that bring it all together. A good cocktail plays an essential role in making guests feel relaxed and ready to connect.

That's why we wanted to give a shout-out to one of our favorite PA-based distilleries Boyd & Blair. We fell in love with their masterfully pre-crafted cocktails all throughout 2022, and we plan to continue stocking our shelves with them moving forward.

Our client wanted a clean, modern, matte black desk that he could pass down to his children someday. The client values hard work and will definitely instill that appreciation in their kids. So, they thought it would be special to get a custom desk that they could work on and then have their kids inherit.

This is why we do what we do, and these are the types of clients we love to work with. It's more than just a desk. It's a symbol of what we value and the lessons we want to pass on to future generations.
