Downtown Bath revival — a story of stewardship, craft, and community

This MaineBiz piece highlights something we believe deeply: downtown Bath didn’t revive itself by accident. It’s the result of independent businesses, invested landlords, craftspeople, and neighbors committing to this place for the long haul.
Our investment in the Medanick Building was always as stewards. We approached it with care and a long view—honoring its history while supporting the life within its walls. As we move to Front and Centre, we do so leaving the Medanick Building stronger than we found it and ready for the next chapter of its story.
Our investment in 66 Front Street continues that same ethic—celebrating a union of craft and community, of heritage and hearth. It’s about building places that endure through collaboration, skilled work, and shared purpose.
We are grateful to the City of Bath, our community, and our neighbors—whose trust, care, and partnership make this story possible
Bath’s downtown revitalization is grounded in a combination of independently owned businesses that cater to year-round residents and summer visitors alike, strong support from city leaders and an active merchants association.
