“It’s working! That man just stopped and asked me what we were doing, and I told him that we were gardening to the glory of God!” This was the joyful noise made by one of the caregivers as a Well-Watered Garden was being installed. This past summer, Justin & Dr. Susie Galford traveled with The Boaz Project to Kenya to assist with providing trauma training at a children’s home. One portion of the training combined the installation of the WWG with Healing with God in the Garden, written by Dr. Susie. This course, which is just one of the ongoing strategies provided, highlights faith-based healing methods to support the children and their caregivers who have experienced trauma. One of the children who assisted with the installation voiced his hope for the future, saying, “I am going to be a good farmer when I grow up!”

The Galford family plans to return to Kenya this April to continue their work with orphans and their caregivers through ongoing trauma training and further assistance with the WWG. Support of the family can be made through prayer as well as financially through sending an email to [email protected] or by phone (317.889.7606) indicating you would like to assist the Galford family through donation.

For the third year, WWG has worked with WGES student's to plant popping corn. Kent Grose, farm manager at this site, spent the afternoon instructing members of the WGES Nature Club on the proper planting techniques. The club members will harvest, pop, and eat their hard work in the fall! Thanks to WGES teacher and club sponsor, Stephanie Dodson.

Last month we hosted a 2-day Springtime Garden Workshop at Aberdeen Farms. What a great time of training and fellowship for all! We presented the WWG story and gardening philosophy, had soil demonstrations, went on a farm tour, shared delicious meals, and then edged and planted the WWG at Aberdeen Farms. Send us a message if you're interested in joining us for future workshops!

Students at Walnut Grove Elementary School participated in hands-on learning to plant popcorn. Next year these same students will get to help harvest, pop, and enjoy eating it in class! Now that's a tasty lesson!

The Well Watered Garden planted at Bluff Creek Christian Church by the students of Indiana Leadership Academy is doing well! The strawberry bed is in full bloom and the onions and lettuce are basking in the Spring sun! ☀️ It seems the students have a heart for Jesus AND a green thumb!
