One year ago today we opened our sweet little store!
What a freakin year it’s been! I’m happy to report that this space has really worked for us so we will be continuing another year!
This year might look a little different than last. We have found that we don’t have to be open every weekend for this space to be successful for us. So moving forward we will be open maybe 1x per month or if it’s sunny and I feel like messing around with my flowers for a bit.

We plan on enjoying our weekends a little bit this year and having to be at the store every single weekend was truthfully draining my mental health.
We are SO thankful for what this space has done for us and are excited to see what lies ahead!
2025 is our biggest year yet baby!

We have so much going on in the shop right now! A gorgeous white oak mantle got stained today and will be installed this week with a fun new upgraded fireplace surround, a chestnut dining table got a glue up, we started another dining room table today and our finishing room is full of kitchen cabinets anxiously awaiting their install date!

It’s been a busy month here in the shop which is truthfully my favorite kind of work. We got this white oak exterior table top glued up and the base is almost done and ready for stain. I’ve put a lot of sweat into this one and I cannot wait for the final product.

It was a busy weekend here at The Rusty Wood Company! We got a custom coffee table delivered. This is one of three pieces that will be a set stay tuned for the matching pieces!! And we were able to give my sweet neighbor Dawn’s farmhouse table a refresh. We sanded it down restained it and gave it a couple coats of a satin oil poly!

Today we took this mantle-less (is that a word?!) fireplace and gave it a perfect place to decorate for Christmas!
We took this gorgeous 11” beam down to 7” and used the cut off for the cap to finish off this stacked stone surround.
Who needs a mantle before the holidays??
A reclaimed beam is such a fun addition for stockings and Christmas decor!
