Mountain Man moments. These kids are really doing some incredible things! We are so happy to host a place for them to do all of this. Not many places left that allow them these opportunities, and this kind of space.

Work on the log cabin, learning how to make a fishing spear, and setting traps at Mountain Man camp! At some points during camp, the older kids get the opportunity to share their skills with the younger ones- who will one day get to keep sharing these skills with new generations of campers. These seem like small moments, but they have a huge impact.

Mountain Man camp has started! So far this week, the kids have learned fire starting, and how to make string or rope from natural materials. They’ve also started building shelters, hearing stories about mountain men, and of course what’s a good mountain man camp without a few games of “hunters and rabbits?!”
