G&C Excavators is looking for a professional, experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team immediately. G&C Excavators has several job sites across the Austin metropolitan area. We specialize in earth-moving in the public and private sectors.

Mechanic Benefits:

Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems as well as troubleshooting software preferred. Mechanic with own tools preferred. Must be able to pass a drug screen and MVR.

Employee Description:

Position: Senior Estimator

Direct Supervisor: Owner of company

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Sometimes more in order to meet deadlines)

General Responsibilities:

Agtek 4D Takeoffs
Pricing Earthwork Projects
Understand the details of construction drawings & read blueprints.
Initiate Job Startup Process once awarded a project
Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors assisting in executing bid packages from beginning to end under the direction of the Senior Estimator.
Communicate with clients, and build relationships
Prepares requests for information by collecting and analyzing, given data and trends.
Prepare change orders
Understanding the details of each project to ensure complete and accurate requirements needed for each job.

Estimator Skills and Qualifications:

Analyzing information
Vendor relationships
Agtek 4D
Cost Analysis
Must be proficient with Excel
Organization, documentation, calculator, internet, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to contribute, gain experience, and grow as a company
