A messy shop is an active shop. We’re building a dark and moody stain grade bourbon room from red oak. This morning the floors were clean, dust collection empty and scrap bin ready to be filled. By the end of the day we have a pile of parts for two jobs cut out, partial assembly of the shelves, and drums filled with aka sawdust.

I hear people tell me daily “I could never do that” and they’re right, you can never accomplish something you’re unwilling to fail at. Give it a try. The worst thing that happens is imperfection and the best outcome is the satisfaction of a task well done. Happy Wednesday y’all!

We stay so busy in the shop I rarely get to build myself anything but I was able to squeeze this walnut cabinet in the schedule.

Inset walnut doors and drawers with raised panel ends, doors and drawer fronts with a solid walnut top. The drawer boxes are made out of sapele for the box and walnut for the drawer bottoms.
