Our first project completed in our new studio: a custom bookshelf made from Atlanta urban harvested walnut, designed specifically for music books. This piece isn't just furniture; it's a reflection of the patience, precision, and passion that go into every step of woodworking. For me, woodworking is more than a craft—it's a meditative exercise, where each cut, sand, and finish is done with mindfulness and care.
The process of creating this bookshelf allowed me to connect deeply with the material, transforming salvaged wood into something both functional and beautiful. The waterfall side of this bookshelf is a testament to the natural beauty of the wood, highlighting its grain and character. It’s a reminder of the tree’s history and the new life it has been given through this piece. This isn't just about making furniture; it’s about preserving the stories embedded in each piece of wood. By using salvaged wood, we’re not only creating something unique but also making a conscious choice to save these beautiful resources from the landfill.
Every time I work with reclaimed wood, I’m reminded of the importance of sustainability. This bookshelf, like all of our projects, represents our commitment to sustainable practices and our belief that luxury and environmental responsibility can coexist.
We’re proud to bring new life to materials that might otherwise have been discarded, crafting pieces that are not only elegant and timeless but also rooted in a respect for nature.
