At North of 40, we create unique furniture, accessories and designs using reclaimed materials, refurbished or repurposed pieces, and even new stock. We take pride in making sure that our pieces not only look of quality but are built to last for everyday use. North of 40 is the realization of a hobby turned career. After years of uprooting our family and moving them across the U.S. in chase of a ca

reer, we finally grew tired of living where our job wanted us to live (and not where we wanted to). At that point, we made a promise to our kids of no more moving, even though a career change after 40 (hence North of 40) didn't seem so secure. Yet here we still are nearly five years later, our kids almost grown, an awesome community and friends, and working (if you can call it that) our hobby on a daily basis.

Just finished this "Picket Fence" style bed. The posts and bed rails are made from aged, rough-cut lumber that have been sanded and distressed. The headboard and footboard are made from reclaimed wood taken from an Oconee County barn. The bed is Queen size and is available for sale.
