Update from the “Olde Carpenter” and the American Heritage Workshop. Recently I fractured my back which required spinal surgery and will require a long recovery period. My orthopedic surgeon says that because of my age (78) and because this is the fifth such fracture and other past back procedures being done over the years my situation is worst then most. AHW will be closed until further notice and all orders will be placed on a “hold” status until a later time. I value all my customers and those who follow this site. Thank you years of supporting this business of building quality primitive style furniture. Hopefully, I will be up and running again in a few months. Thanking you for prayers in advance.

Just a great opportunity to do this two primitive style pieces for a new customer from Dallastown. She needed a moderate size storage cupboard and a dry sink both finished in our own “Tavern Blue”. Primitive style “pantry” cabinet. Beautiful design copied from an antique piece found at a local antique shop. Great new piece from the workshop. Handmade. Very unusual scroll side primitive style bucket bench copied after an antique piece found here in central Pennsylvania. Rear angle braces for extra strength. Size - 32”wide x 36”high x varied shelf depth. Color - Sage green over a natural base finished with a dark glaze and flat sealer. Display items are NFS.
