I’m so excited about this console table! I got the idea for the design while starring at the end grain of a board of lacewood, so far so good. The coolest part is glueing up and should be shaped and installed tomorrow.

After running the glued up top through the planer I ran into a defect not visible on the surface. Maybe I should fill it...

After running the glued up top through the planer I ran into a defect not visible on the surface. Maybe I should fill it with epoxy...😂, no that’s too easy I’m a woodworker. Find the perfect grain matched piece, carve it out, and make a dutchman that disappears when finished. Time to start making the body of this bad boy👍🏼. @ San Luis Obispo, California

Made these cool standoffs out of western red cedar to get lights to shine at exactly the right angle! Turning them was easy, getting the compound miter was a little more challenging (fun)! Crazy how a little bit of wood warms up cold sterile wall. @ Baywood Park, California

When everything matters...every part of this credenza is perfectly finished. Not a single metal fastener, the flush back...

When everything matters...every part of this credenza is perfectly finished. Not a single metal fastener, the flush back is installed with handmade rift white oak nails the rest of the piece is joined and doweled using multiple techniques. Even the doors have integrated pulls and slide wood to wood.
