We loved partnering with the Cottonwood Jackson CEO program this year! These high school students created ads for our Kozy Heat Gallery, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. 👏

The CEO program gives students real-world experience in entrepreneurship—learning how to build business plans, take smart risks, and see ideas through, all with support from local business leaders. We’re proud to support a program that’s shaping the next generation of go-getters and innovators.

50 years ago, Dudley Hussong started something special in Lakefield, Minnesota. What began as a small operation has grown into Kozy Heat Fireplaces — still family-owned and still proudly rooted in our community.

Now led by President Jim Hussong, alongside his daughters — Vice President Heather Hussong Reasoner and Sarah Severson, who will step into the CFO role in 2026 — and supported by the incredible employees who have been part of this journey every step of the way, our story is still being written.

From heating Dudley’s father’s small millwork shop during the fuel embargo to growing into a leading fireplace manufacturer, our journey has always been fueled by family, craftsmanship, and community. We’re proud of where we started and even more excited about where we’re headed.

Thank you for being part of our first 50 years. Here’s to the next chapter.
