Happy Friday, friends! ❤️

Quick update—my knee is okay 🙌, but the stool fall gave my back a little jarring, so I’m trying to take it easy and I’m a bit limited on what I can do right now. Because of that, no Live today.

I’m not seriously injured…..thank God! 🙏❤️ So Wednesday night should be no problem, and I’m actually going to save both the 1st AND 2nd coats of our Butterfly piece to do with you LIVE! 🦋🎨 I’ll get her all prepped and ready to go beforehand.

In the meantime, I’m definitely not sitting completely still 😂 I’m working on:
🖤 Pouring and painting molds for the pipe system going on this cabinet door…..because getting down there to actually glue them on is NOT happening yet 😂
🎨 Creating a sample canvas for an upcoming end-of-September class 👀
🩷 Finishing up our Harlequin Blush piece

And I’ll have Reels and videos posting throughout the weekend, so there’s still plenty coming your way!

🚨 TONIGHT’S LIVE IS CANCELLED… because apparently I have learned NOTHING about stools. 🤦‍♀️🤣

Y’all are not going to believe what I just did.
I had EVERYTHING set out for tonight’s live, sat down on my stool with my fresh coffee ☕, realized I forgot something, reached just a little too far and… YES. I FELL OFF THE STOOL AGAIN. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know why those words make me cringe. 😳 I’m only about 3½ months post-surgery from the LAST stool situation!

Praise God, I was able to get that leg out from under me this time 🙌, but it bent a little farther than it probably wanted to and is starting to get a bit inflamed. And because apparently today wasn’t exciting enough, I also hit that SAME spot square on the car door a few hours earlier. 🤦‍♀️

So… I’m calling it for tonight and giving it some rest.

God willing, I’m hoping to reschedule the live for TOMORROW or FRIDAY because I am SO excited about this project and I do NOT want to wait another week to paint it! ❤️🎨

I’ll keep you posted as soon as I know which day.

But there IS some good news…

As I was going down, I CAUGHT THE DECOUPAGE PAPER FOR MY CANVAS AND SAVED IT. 🤣🙌

Priorities, people. PRIORITIES. 😂

Please say a little prayer that I just irritated this leg and it settles back down quickly. 🙏❤️

Not my norm, but sometimes a quick little project is just what you need to feel productive 🤎

I grabbed a board I had in my stash, gave it some love with Charred Hickory Voodoo Gel Stain, added a set of Amazon hairpin legs, and just like that—a simple little console table was born! 🙌

And that painting? 🎨 It’s a commissioned piece just hanging out with me until it heads home—already sold. ❤️

🤣 Tuesday's Tip of the Day…
When I’m pouring a bunch of moulds, I have a system: I’ll usually go ahead and measure everything into my cups so it’s ready to mix the second I demould the batch before it.

Wellllll… apparently that system only works if you remember you have cups sitting there. 🤣🤦‍♀️

I got distracted, and came back about TWO HOURS later. Saw my cups and thought, Oh yeah! My moulds! Mixed it up and poured like normal.

And THIS happened. 👇😂

The casting material bubbled and expanded out the back until it was about twice as thick as it should have been!

I’ve poured a LOT of moulds and this was a first for me.

So today’s tip: If you pre-measure your casting material, don’t leave it sitting exposed for a couple of hours before mixing it. Apparently, it has plans of its own. 😂

And maybe the bonus tip is… if you have ADHD, set a timer when you walk away from the mould table. 🤣🤦‍♀️ Don't forget to set a reminder for what the timer is for too 🤣🤣🤣🤣

First time for everything! At least now we all know what not to do. 😂❤️

What an AMAZING class yesterday at 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬-𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞! ❤️🎨

We had such a fun group, lots of laughs, creativity, and some seriously beautiful memory boxes came out of this class! 😍 Everyone put their own spin on their project, and I absolutely LOVE seeing how different they all turned out.

And y’all… I actually remembered to take pictures this time! 😂🙌 That may be an accomplishment all by itself!

I truly love teaching these classes and getting to spend an afternoon creating together. ❤️

Not only is He coming back… HE IS TAKING OVER! 🙌🦁🔥

No matter what the world looks like, no matter what the headlines say, and no matter what you may be walking through today—God is still on the throne. His promises haven't changed, His Word hasn't changed, and His authority hasn't changed.

So today I'm choosing joy, gratitude, and expectation. ❤️
