Why are these better? No matter what you another builder tells you, wood will rot in contact with soil (even cedar). Wet soil is very heavy and planters with wood sides and bottoms will rot and give out after a few years or less. Unfinished wood will weather and rot even faster and become an eyesore. These designs eliminate rot and stay beautiful for years and years. I do my best to keep prices affordable by sourcing wholesale materials and keeping my processes efficient. I believe these are the best products you can get for the price.
Do you deliver? Delivery is available for a flat $25 fee to the metro area as long as you can be flexible on the date (I will group together
How are they built? Planters are 100% cedar with solid 4x4 and 2x4 frames. I seal the wood with a high-quality oil-based exterior stain. I have two colors available, or I am happy to color match for you. The pot insert is heavy duty and flexible to withstand Minnesota winters. It is supported at the top and bottom and completely protects the wood from rot.
What can you grow? You can grow flowers, herbs, and any vegetables! Container gardening is super easy because it requires little soil, there is no weeding, and you can manage the water and nutrients. The 5-gallon pots are suitable for flowers, herbs, strawberries, peppers, small tomatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, spinach, and onions. The 8-gallon pots can grow even more of the same things and also work better for large tomato plants, cucumber, zucchini, squash, or potatoes.
Do I need a trellis? Trellises can be added for extra cost. A trellis will greatly increase your growing area for climbing plants like peas, beans, cucumber, zucchini, squash, and climbing flowers.
