Full and focused. That is what we want. We are Full Tummy Project and our mission is to keep tummies full and minds focused.

We provide sacks filled with healthy, easy to prepare foods, during weekends and school breaks for children who might otherwise go hungry in our local area (Monroe Co). We want to shut down the fears and insecurities caused from a hungry tummy and empower a child to get the most out of their education.

We are incredibly honored to share that the Full Tummy Project has been selected as a 2026 REACH Award recipient for North Mississippi by the Children’s Foundation of Mississippi.

To be recognized alongside so many people and organizations working to create stronger opportunities for children and families across our state is something we do not take lightly.

Every volunteer, donor, school, church, and supporter has played a part in this recognition.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue serving children and families across Monroe County and reminding kids they are seen, valued, and loved.

Hunger doesn’t always look the way people expect. It’s not always obvious. It’s the student who is extra tired on Monday. The one who eats quickly in the cafeteria.
The one who doesn’t complain but is quietly struggling.

That’s who we serve. And they’re right here in Monroe County. Thank you to ALL who help us love on kids through their tummies.

That’s 10 more kids who will now have food every weekend. Not because of luck… but because people chose love in action!

We are so grateful for every single person who said “YES!!”

This is what community looks like. This is what it means to show up.

Teachers across Monroe County can often tell on Monday mornings which kids didn’t eat much over the weekend. That’s the problem the Full Tummy Project is trying to solve.

A simple bag of food can make all the difference. We believe no child in our community should go hungry.

This weekend, with a potential winter storm coming, we’re delivering food early to make sure our students have what they need at home… meals they can prepare for themselves, even if school is out or roads are bad.

This is what we do EVERY WEEK, but moments like this remind us why it matters so much.
