Perform tasks required for cabinet repair, adjustment, replacement, or installation. Able to apply experience in all phases of cabinetry such as laminating, re-finishing and installation to make a quality finished installation acceptable to Wood Matrix’s standards and customer requirements.
Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems. Must communicate regularly with supervisor or manager regarding current location, the status of work, need for tools or supplies, delays, and reasons for delays, any concerns or problems, as well as progress through the day’s schedule. Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records to follow company’s organizational flow of paperwork as well as, all company policies and procedures, this includes all safety policies. Orders parts needed for repairs if needed. If assigned company property, such as tools, equipment, or vehicle, Technician keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational-training opportunities. Additional duties and responsibilities as requested by Supervisor or Production manager, which may require warehouse work.

REQUIREMENTS
• Cabinet manufacturing or 1+ years installation experience required.
• Must know how to use hand tools, tape measure, and power tools with expertise
• Written communication skills sufficient to be able to write accurate reports and work orders using proper format
• Verbal communication skills sufficient to be able to speak over telephone clearly using a well-modulated voice
• Reading communication skills sufficient to be able to accurately interpret documents such as shop drawings, blue prints, technical procedures, and product specifications, this includes maps and directions.
• The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand a majority of the time.
• Effectively manage time is a must.

Cabinet Assembly Technician organizes and assembles cut parts and raw materials, both panel product and solid lumber, melamine, and laminate, into completed cabinets, panels, and fixtures. This position demands the utmost in confidence and accuracy.
• Must be detail oriented, work clean and accurate, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Identify problems, errors, and omissions before they happen.
• Must be able to identify wood species of veneers and solids.
• Assemble both complex and repetitive casework and cabinet assignments from shop drawings and specifications.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret intricate shop drawings.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Operate nail guns, hotmelt glue guns, glue pot, drills, screw guns, and all hand tools safely and efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS
• Must be detail oriented, work clean and accurate, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Read intricate shop drawings, interpret, organize, and assemble cut parts.
• Problem solving ability, with attention to math, knowledge of differing assembly techniques.
• Ability to use all methods of fastening: air nailer, pocket screw, glue and clamp.
• Ability to handle set procedures and standards.
• Ability to compare and see differences in sizes, shapes and materials of parts.
• Ability to visualize objects from drawings or diagrams.
• Ability to read and understand all measuring instruments

Wood Matrix is currently seeking a full-time Machine Operator. This position is Monday-Friday with some weekends. Full benefits package included.
Position Summary: Safely performs any combination of work duties including but not limited to machine operation, bench assembly, cleaning, material handling, woodworking, inspecting, production department. Job assignments may vary depending on customer demand.
Essential Functions: Produces products according to established production standards. Examines materials and products to ensure quality requirements are met. Maintains a continuous flow of work. Follows outlined work instruction procedures. Safely operates and uses required machinery and equipment to produce components (machines, tooling, crimpers, nail guns and table saws). Maintains a safe work environment associated with the hazards of working in a production environment. Serves as a role model for consumers by exhibiting good work behaviors. Maintains a positive working relationship with peers, supervisors, and customers. Maintains accurate accounting of time worked and pieces produced. Ability to arrive for all scheduled work shifts and work overtime, if production demand requires Non-Essential Functions: Performs other work-related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors. Ability to meet established guidelines and production area skill matrix. Ability to work effectively with trainees, staff, co-workers, and customers. Ability to work in a fast-based environment, perform repetitive tasks, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination requiring manual dexterity. Ability to work around production-related machinery and maintain awareness of surroundings. Ability to use good judgment in decision making. Ability to follow and adhere to safety and workplace policies. Ability to work with limited supervision.
Education & Experience:
Required: Age 18 or older, work flexible hours and show progress and/or obtain production standards.
Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
Occupational Demands: Must be able to stand, sit, bend, stoop or walk with or without accommodations to complete the production tasks or material handling tasks assigned. Must be able to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds intermittently. Work can be dirty and performed on loud machinery. Work can be performed inside or outside in inclement weather conditions. Work assignment and hours may vary depending on the job. Demonstrates the ability to work cohesively with persons with disabilities. Ability to separate pressures from work and home.
