Perform tasks required for cabinet repair, adjustment, replacement, or installation. Able to apply experience in all phases of cabinetry such as laminating, re-finishing and installation to make a quality finished installation acceptable to Wood Matrix’s standards and customer requirements.
Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems. Must communicate regularly with supervisor or manager regarding current location, the status of work, need for tools or supplies, delays, and reasons for delays, any concerns or problems, as well as progress through the day’s schedule. Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records to follow company’s organizational flow of paperwork as well as, all company policies and procedures, this includes all safety policies. Orders parts needed for repairs if needed. If assigned company property, such as tools, equipment, or vehicle, Technician keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational-training opportunities. Additional duties and responsibilities as requested by Supervisor or Production manager, which may require warehouse work.
REQUIREMENTS
• Cabinet manufacturing or 1+ years installation experience required.
• Must know how to use hand tools, tape measure, and power tools with expertise
• Written communication skills sufficient to be able to write accurate reports and work orders using proper format
• Verbal communication skills sufficient to be able to speak over telephone clearly using a well-modulated voice
• Reading communication skills sufficient to be able to accurately interpret documents such as shop drawings, blue prints, technical procedures, and product specifications, this includes maps and directions.
• The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand a majority of the time.
• Effectively manage time is a must.
