Getting along good on the 49' chevy truck. DIY harness for LS swap are time consuming. Got the engine put in the frame rails and drilled the holes for new engine crossmember. Clearance the frame to get everything to fit. Next week installed the bellhousing and checked the hole is centered and parallel. Pulled bellhousing installed flywheel, pilot bearing, and clutch assy. Replaced bellhousing and measured the average finger depths. Installed the correct shims to adjust the hydraulic throwout bearing. Installed transmission and crossmember. Installed new driveshaft. Got all the wires hooked up to the computer to the DIY harness. Fabricated front and rear brake lines. I installed the pedal assy. Hung the master-booster combo and mounted the proportioning valve. Starting to take shape.

Finishing up the 63' impala frame. Installed 4 wheel disc brake conversion. Rear got all new parts in the housing. Installed front and rear brake lines and pressure and return fuel lines. Front got the upgraded power steering gearbox and linkage. 13" gold spoke wheels and tires. I took apart the stock 327ci. engine and cleaned up everything. Crank had to be polished and rods got resized with new bolts. Cam wasn't any good so we installed a performance cam and lifters. Took the cylinder apart and cleaned them up. Lapped the valves and up graded the seals. Had the valve covers sand blasted to add a little personal touch. (One of a kind!) Installed a clear cap on the distributor and made new custom set of wires to dress this little engine up for the shows to come. Bolted up old exhaust and had to wack off the rear to fit the new frame. This will be a show stopper!

Getting a good start on the LS swap. Got the new guages installed too.

The old engines were so much simpler. What a mess of wires!
