For those of you looking for employment for Spring 2016, the Office of Information Technology will be hiring for three wage positions. Prospective candidates, must be hard working, motivated, and a team player. In addition they need to have the necessary computer skills. Below are the descriptions for the available positions:

60793 Part-time ResTECH Support
• Help students in the Residence Halls get connected to the Penn State network
• Assist students in the Residence Halls with general computer issues (i.e. viruses and spy-ware).
• Maintain Computer Labs located in the Residence Halls

60794 Part-time IT Support (Off Campus Help Line) Including a location Downtown
• Provide telephone support for off-campus users
• Help users get connected to the Penn State wireless system on campus
• Administer student loaner laptop program

59302 Part-time Tech Tutors
The Penn State Altoona Tech Tutors are a team of specially trained students that offer free, one-on-one
help to their peers on the technologies used for course assignments and projects. Students can bring an
assignment with them to a Tech Tutor (no appointment necessary, walk-ins are always welcome), and
the Tech Tutor will work through the technical aspect of that assignment at a pace that is comfortable
for the student, answering questions as they go. Tech Tutors provide personalized training on Access,
Photoshop, Excel, ANGEL, PowerPoint, Word, Acrobat, Sites at Penn State, WikiSpaces, and more.
The Tech Tutors are currently looking for motivated, creative, friendly, and resourceful student
applicants to join their team. They offer 8-12 hours a week of on-campus work in an environment
designed to help you grow personally and professionally.
