Furniture Deliveryman Needed

Hollywood Rooms Furniture & Accessories

We are a small, family owned and operated furniture retailer that has been proudly serving the Portland Metro area for over 25 years. We aim to provide affordable prices and excellent customer service to the community in a friendly, fun environment.

*No experience necessary
*Paid training program
*Employee discounts after minimum duration of employment met
*Simple IRA option after minimum duration of employment met

Duties Include:
*Loading and securing furniture pickups from vendors in the Portland Metro Area. (Corresponding with vendor secretaries and warehouse workers, verifying inventory, handling checks)
*Driving and transporting furniture & accessories in a safe and timely manner. (Safe driving practices, obeying speed limits and traffic signals, defensive driving, etc. with furniture safely secured.)
*Delivery of furniture to local customers in-home. (Unpackaging, assembly, room placement, disposal of packaging and sometimes hauling away used furniture)
*Organizational skills. (Sorting incoming freight and freeing up space at our local warehouses, space-efficient loading of truck, coordinating delivery routes)
*Providing outstanding customer service. (Drivers correspond with customers in-store, over the phone in planning deliveries, and will interact with customers consistently while in their homes providing a safe and enjoyable customer experience)
*Infrequent minor maintenance of showroom/warehouse. (Replacing lightbulbs, tidying showroom, painting, cleaning, etc.)
*Any other reasonable duties requested by management.
Qualifications:
*Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
*21+ years of age for insurance purposes.
*Capable of safely lifting up to 100 lbs.
*Capable of bending, stooping, reaching, standing and walking frequently.
*Willing to work weekends.
*Detail oriented.
*Basic customer service communication skills.
*Enjoys working with people.

Bilingual(English/Spanish) strongly preferred. (We deal primarily in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area interacting with many customers from all different backgrounds, with English and Spanish being the most commonly spoken languages.) Not having fluency in Spanish IS IN NO WAY grounds for rejecting an application.
