The Magpie team was thrilled to partner with the this year to help raise over $50,000 for the Del Ray Community School PTA.

We were able to donate over a dozen truckloads of goods to the Flea, with dozens of pieces of furniture and thousands of home goods.

This helped divert those goods from local landfills all while raising funds for the community here in Del Ray.

Thank you to Autumn and the entire Mount Vernon Big Flea team for the incredible work you do!

Our furniture might be old, but our values aren’t.

We believe no one should be detained, disappeared, or killed by the state for existing.

This Friday, we stand in solidarity with the national strike and in opposition of ICE’s actions in Minneapolis and across the country.

Our business exists because of labor. Every piece of furniture has been crafted, restored, and delivered by hands from all types of backgrounds. The value of our team is NOT dependent on race, gender, sexuality, or any other identity being used to divide our country.

Tomorrow the Magpie team will be participating in the nation-wide strike and we invite you to join us in standing up for what is right and just.

Danish Peter Løvig Nielsen Partners Desk in Walnut

Spectacular walnut desk designed and crafted by Peter Løvig Nielsen in Denmark circa 1970’s. Its ingenious design makes it versatile in accommodating two persons on each side by simply flipping the top shelf down, or leaving it with the lead up for a two tiered workspace. The desk is in excellent vintage condition with some minor wear expected of a 50 year old piece. Full refinishing available upon request. Walnut examples of this desk are extremely rare.

Absolutely stunning rosewood Secretary bookcase. Vintage Scandinavian design. The wood grain and attention to detail on the construction of this piece are unparalleled. Ample cabinet storage, functional workspace, and bookcase/display space all in one piece. Make this the statement piece of a home office or living room. Matching bookshelf available.

Designed by Omann Jun of Denmark. Interestingly, this designer has reopened their doors and begun to make exclusive new pieces from their collection again.
